The round sides rise to a straight mouth, flanked by a pair of upright arched handles on the rim and rest on three short tapered feet. The whole body is covered with a thick bright and vibrant turquoise glaze suffused with mottling of deep red and violet. The extraordinary effect of Robin’s egg-glaze was invented during the Yongzheng reign and is made by stippling turquoise glaze coloured with copper with the mixture of arsenic as an opacifier. H 10.8 cm.
