A large Longquan celadon-glazed charger, 15th century

The heavily potted dish carved to the interior with scrolling lotus meanders, the short flat rim with a wave pattern, the base with a typical unglazed circle oxidised to an orange hue. 46cm (18 1/8in) diam.

Provenance: A European private collection, and thence by descent.
