The two eyelets at the top and bottom frame make it likely that the silver pendants book was originally intended as an Attachment for a rosary. The two ornamented book cover and the side frames are gilded. Inside the small book box has six movable mounted sides of silver plate. This show eleven engraved images of saints from among the Fourteen Holy Helpers (Sts. Christopher, Catherine, Barbara, Erasmus, Dionysius, Vitus, Aegidius, Blasius, Margaretha, Eustace and George) and a picture of the Mass of Pope Gregory. The Mother of God (front) and St. appear on the insides of the covers. Anne with Two Others (rear). The gilding emphasizes here the fortuitous rank these two representations with respect to the silver statues of saints on the inside pages. LL
