The nine dragons worked mainly in couched gilt threads with counted-stitch details in white, yellow, shades of blue and purple also outlining the surrounding cloud scrolls, bats, auspicious emblems in tall lishui border, the neck bands and cuffs embroidered en suite on a black gauze ground. 57in (145cm) long
