with shallow rounded sides rising from a recessed base, encircled on the exterior by a single incised line, the flat interior deftly carved and combed to the center with turbulent waves, and covered overall with an attractive olive-green glaze suffused with fine crackle, stopping neatly in a circle around the base exposing the grayish-brown body, Japanese wood box (3).
