2

From March 13 to September 25, arrives at Este and Adria " Wonders of the State of CHU ", the archaeological exhibition is part of the project Ancient Civilizations & CHINA VENETO, promoted by Regione Veneto, City of Adria and Este, MiBACT Ministry the cultural heritage and cultural and tourism activities in collaboration with the Superintendence for cultural heritage of the Veneto.

The project involves the construction of two exhibitions event, hosted in the Venetian museums Este and Adria and an exhibition of archaeological finds of the Veneto, which is successful in China at the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Wuhan in 2017.

Born as a small military kingdom, Chu expanded to the point of becoming, in the late period of Autumns and Winters (770-454 BC), a great power and lived its moment of greatest splendor in the subsequent Warring States Period (453 - 221 BC).

The impressive number of archaeological finds from the province of Hubei , the heart of the state of Chu and presented in Este and Adria exhibitions, shows how the supremacy of the kingdom was cultural, even before the military: not only weapons then, but mostly ceremonial bronzes , jade and lacquer, indisputable demonstration of mastery of the artisans of the time. Of particular beauty and value are musical instruments, part of real orchestras, which bear witness to an unparalleled mastery of the art of music.

From the grave goods of some noble tombs, by permission of the Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan City, offers the exhibition "Wonders of the State of Chu" : an extraordinary journey, spanning three museums and connects the Veneto to the ancient history of 'ancient China.
