the ovoid body swelling broadly at the shoulder and set with two tab handles before the short straight neck and wide everted mouthrim, applied overall with a lustrous black-glaze transmuting to russet-colored striations, boldly cut through with a broad band of two blossoms borne on leafy stems enclosed within a triple and a single incised line border, the glaze stopping above the base revealing the buff-colored stoneware body. Height 9 3/4 in., 24.8 cm
