Lot 927, A well-carved jade ring, huan, Late Eastern Zhou dynasty, 4th-3rd century BC. Estimate USD 12,000 ~ 18,000. Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2016.

Each slightly convex side is finely carved with tiny whorl-shaped spirals within incised borders at the plain inner and outer rims. The finely polished, semi-translucent stone is now of brownish-white color with areas of opaque buff-colored alteration and some dark brown alteration at the outer rim. 3 ¼ in. (8.4 cm) diam., box
