Lot 915, An opaque buff and greyish-green jade huang, Warring States Period, 5th century BC. Estimate USD 20,000 ~ 30,000. Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2016. Each side is carved with 'cloud' scrolls interspersed with two bird-headed scrolls with striated details, and separated by a striated border from the similarly decorated ends that represent abstract dragon heads with angular notched edges. The thick pendant is well carved as a composite animal, with the head of a horned dragon, its long mane finely incised with hair markings below the upper edge above the wings and talons of a bird.
