Each slightly convex side is finely carved with tiny whorl-shaped spirals within incised borders at the plain inner and outer rims. Each side is carved with 'cloud' scrolls interspersed with two bird-headed scrolls with striated details, and separated by a striated border from the similarly decorated ends that represent abstract dragon heads with angular notched edges. The thick pendant is well carved as a composite animal, with the head of a horned dragon, its long mane finely incised with hair markings below the upper edge above the wings and talons of a bird.
