The interior decorated with a fanciful lion playing with a ribbon-tied ball amid cloud scrolls framed by a band of scalloped lotus petals and ogival reserves filled with ghost images of miniature flowers and wave patterns from lost enamels while traces of green enamel remain on the front and also forming the outline to the lotus petal band on the reverse, the recessed base covered with a chocolate brown wash (glaze degraded, extensive enamel losses, some staining throughout). 17 1/8in (43.4cm) diameter
