each painted on the exterior to resemble a lotus blossom with three overlapping rows of petals, the domed cover painted as an open lotus blossom surrounding the gilded finial, the base with a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue, wood stands (6). Diameter 4 1/4 in., 10.8 cm
Provenance: Collection of Mrs. P. Dooley, acquired in China in 1948 (by repute).
Note: A similar Daoguang mark and period bowl without a cover was sold at Christie's London, 6th November 2007, lot 210.
