NEW YORK, NY.- An extraordinary, Multi-Stone, Diamond, Gold Dolphin Brooch — designed by Parisian artist and jeweler Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. — highlights more than 1,300 lots in Heritage Auctions' first major Fine Jewelry Auction of the year. The April 19 New York auction draws together large-carat colored diamonds, Burma rubies and sapphires, and unmounted gemstones for an auction in which color is king.

A deep selection of large-carat diamonds starts with a set of Diamond, Platinum Rings featuring a pear-shaped diamond weighing 6.69 carats (est. $90,000-$120,000), and a Fancy Deep Yellow Diamond, Diamond, Platinum, Gold Ring with a center stone weighing 5.02 carats (est. $55,000-$75,000). A generous Diamond, White Gold Bracelet with full-cut diamonds weighs a total of 72.23 carats (est. $60,000-$80,000) while a set of Diamond, Platinum Earrings – a pair of sparklers offering approximately 9.00 carats – feature round and pear-shaped rose-cut diamonds (est. $20,000-$30,000).  

Lot 54430, Platinum and 6.69 carats Diamond Ring. Estimate: $90,000 - $120,000. 

The ring features a pear-shaped diamond measuring 16.37 x 10.53 x 6.61 mm and weighing 6.69 carats, enhanced by tapered baguette-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.20 carats, set in platinum. A GIA Laboratory report # 6177493505, dated February 18, 2016, stating G color, VS2 clarity, accompanies the center diamond. Gross weight 9.31 grams. Ring Size: 5 - Band Size: 5-1/2
