the rounded sides rising from a square base to square shoulders and a circular straight mouth, each face painted with four boys at play in a garden beside rockwork, below leafy and flowering branches, with a band of meandering lotus, peony and chrysanthemum at the shoulder, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within a double square, wood cover.
