Lot 38. A very rare blue overlay white glass mallet vase, incised Qianlong four-character mark in a square and of the period. Estimate 25000/35000 €. Photo Nagel The vase has a broad base rising to a rounded shoulder under a high cylindrical neck, carved through the blue overlay to the white ground with two long-tailed phoenix in flight amidst cloud scrolls.
