the barrel-shaped body set with three short legs issuing from animal masks, rising to a flat incurved rim, boldly painted with three monks amongst a garden landscape, below shaped cartouches enclosing beribboned treasures reserved on a diaper band, the rim encircled by a foliate sprays above a band of vertical stripes, Japanese lacquer cover. Quantity: 2 - 16.5 cm, 6 1/2 in.
