The first a small melon-form jar with a rolled rim to the short neck and supported on a flared foot with flat base, partially covered with a brownish-black glaze (chipped, glaze degraded); the second a small Yaozhou celadon glazed bowl carved with overlapping petals to the walls and floor of the well and vertical slash marks on the exterior (hairline crack, glaze abraded). 5 1/4in (13.2cm) height of jar - 4 1/2in (11.5cm) diameter of bowl
