carved with Shoulao and an attendant standing under a gnarled pine tree in a mountainous landscape, surrounded by craggy rockwork and swirled clouds collaring the top of the pebble, a staircase leading to a pavilion in the distance, the reverse with a crane standing in a cave under a gnarled branch bearing clusters of pine needles, the smoothly polished stone of a greenish-white colour with milky inclusions and patches of brown skin, wood stand; 12.1 cm., 4 3/4 in.
