The incense burner is molded on the exterior with a band archaistic scrollwork, with two pairs of confronting dragons that are reserved on a leiwen ground flanked by dragon-form handles. There is an apocryphal Chenghua mark on the base. 6 ½ in. (16.5 cm.) across handles. A few very minor iron spots in the glaze; there is a small firing crack on the base and a further short firing crack on the interior below the rim; the centre of the interior has been left unglazed. Estimation: USD 3,000 - 5,000
