The bowl has deep, rounded sides that rise from the small, slightly flared foot and is covered overall with a glaze of pale blue color suffused with a fine crackle that thins to mushroom at the rim and ends in an irregular line above the foot. 5 5/8 in. (14.2 cm.) diam.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, accessioned in 1926.
Note: Mrs. Samuel T. Peters (1859-1943), nee Adeline Elder, donated hundreds of pieces of Chinese pottery and porcelain to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1926. Samuel T. Peters, her husband, was a Museum trustee from February 16, 1914 until his death on October 21, 1921. Mrs. Peters was a notable Chinese art collector and donated nearly 400 jades to the museum.
