of archaistic gu form, the top section vibrantly painted with a scene from Xixiang ji (Romance of the West Chamber), the mid-section with a continuous landscape, the lower register with a seated scholar and attendant, the base with an apocryphal Jiajing mark. Height 10 in., 25.4 cm
