The vase is painted in brown on a white slip with a design of waves, and on the neck with bands of key fret and foliate scroll below a rolled mouth rim, all under a clear glaze. 3 7/8 in. (9.9 cm.) high.
Provenance: Blitz Antiek en Kunsthandel, Amsterdam.
Note: A vase with similar wave design was sold at Christie's New York, 22-23 March 2012, lot 1972. Another vase of miniature form with wave design throughout is located in the Jiangxi Provincial Museum and illustrated by J. C.
