The body is covered in a 'mirror'-black glaze bearing traces of gilt decoration depicting immortals examining a scroll in a mountainous landscape amidst pine trees below borders of ruyiand alternating 'cracked ice' and shaped panels depicting Buddhist emblems. The tall, trumpet-form neck is decorated with further immortals, including Shoulao, and a deer. 18 ¼ in. (46 cm.) high.
