of archaistic quadrangular form, set on two sides with elephant-head handles suspending fixed rings, covered overall save for the foot rim with an unctuous purplish-blue glaze thinning to white along the edges - Height 9 1/2  in., 24.1 cm.

Provenance: Collection of a United States Army General stationed in China, acquired between 1925 and 1948, and thence by descent.
