the tapered sides rising from a slightly recessed base to a bulging rounded shoulder, surmounted by a short neck centered with a flange below the lipped rim, covered overall with a lustrous black glaze accentuated with subtle russet splashes, the base left unglazed revealing the buff-colored stoneware body. Height 7 3/4 in., 19.7 cm
