the pear-shaped body rising to a tall slender neck and lipped rim, incised with a writhing dragon, its barbed tail coiling around the neck, in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl', covered overall with a pale bluish-green slip pooling into the carving and a semi-opaque white glaze. Height 9 3/4 in., 24.8 cm
