rising from a splayed foot, the elongated ovoid body boldly painted with a scene of a striding general signaling to his steed as three soldiers converse nearby in a setting of rockwork and foliage below a layer of swirling mist, a round moon and constellations in the distance and just below the short cylindrical neck with a raised horizontal ring and everted mouth rim, the base inscribed with an apocryphal six-character Jiajing mark within a double ring. Height 10 in., 25.4 cm
