the deep rounded sides supported on a short foot, intricately painted with four circular reserves, one in grisaille, two in sepia tones and another in famille-rose enamels, each depicting scholars traveling amidst mountainous wintry landscapes, all divided by stylized lotus arabesque on a ruby-red ground incised with delicate feathering scrollwork, the interior painted with a single stylized baoxianghua highlighted in gilt, the base with a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue.
