the shaft naturalistically carved in the form of a gnarled knotted bough, issuing leafy side branches bearing succulent peaches, the terminal formed from a larger peach with a bat perched atop, Japanese wood box inscribed by Chikuun Yamamoto (1819-88), seal carver and tea master, in 1879.
