the rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to a slightly flared rim, the thick walls painted with a broad lotus scroll between a border of breaking waves at the rim and 'S'-shaped scrolls at the foot, inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark written in a horizontal line within a double rectangular panel below the rim.
