Claw-set with a sugarloaf sapphire weighing 9.79 carats, the shoulders set with circular-cut diamonds, size 56, signed Tiffany & Co.
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 83146 and Gübelin report no. 17040182, each stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating.
Provenance: Formerly in the collection of Sophia Augusta Brown, only daughter of John Carter Brown of Providence and Newport, Rhode Island. Purchased from Tiffany & Co.
