Cindy Chao

Motivated by a desire to break boundaries and redefine high jewellery, Cindy Chao believes that every piece of fine jewellery should be a miniature work of art. The granddaughter of an architect and the daughter of a sculptor, Cindy was immersed in an extraordinary and vibrant creative environment long before the establishment of her synonymous brand. Known for her gem-encrusted jewels, her one-of-a-kind pieces often depict vibrant and elaborate flora, fauna and landscape images. Her signature technique is hand sculpting waxes, which gives her work a three dimensional free-flowing effect. To keep the curvature organic and lively, Cindy uses stones of many different sizes and hues for her pavé-setting. As her jewels must sparkle from every angle, thousands of hours are devoted to fine-tuning the setting, considering the texture, colours, brilliance and reflection so as to enhance the silhouette and undulating layers of her art jewel. The results can be seen in her stunning sculptural pieces.
