Of rectangular section, the vase has plain sides and two ruyi-shaped loop handles, each incised on the top with a Shoumedallion and suspending a loose ring, and the cover has a stepped finial. The pale greenish-white stone has some natural cloudy inclusions and is softly polished; zitan and hongmu stand, Japanese double wood boxes.
Provenance: A Japanese private collection, acquired before 1940, and thence by descent.
