the deep rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot to a lipped rim, moulded to the interior with a central medallion enclosing an obscured design of possibly a leafy floral spray, the curved sides similarly decorated with camellia blooms borne on meandering branches with curled leaves, inscribed with a mark reading Wu Mingzhi  on three of the leaves, all below double-line borders, the exterior moulded with lotus lappets, covered overall with an ivory glaze pooling to a greyish tone on the recesses, the rim bound with metal; 19cm., 7 ½in.
