the broad-shouldered body rising from a short spreading foot to a waisted short neck with everted rolled rim, covered overall in a pale whitish glaze suffused with irregular blue splashes, all falling short of the base to reveal the pale pinkish-buff body.

The dating of this piece is consistent with the results of a thermoluminescence test, Oxford Authentication Ltd.
