with rounded sides and a slightly convex base supported on a narrow tapered footring, applied on the exterior with a rich, well controlled copper-red glaze suffused with fine bubbles, draining to white at the rim and pooling neatly just above the foot to a darker tone, the interior and the base left white, the latter inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within double circles.
