the baluster body divided into eight facets and surmounted by a short neck, painted with a scene from Sanguo Yanyi (Romance of Three Kingdoms) depicting a military official riding a horse and pointing his halberd at a lady with a basket by the banks, in a distance three attendants carrying flags and weapons shielding behind rocks, all below pendent lappets each enclosing a lotus bloom, the foot encircled with stiff leaves and the rim with a trellis border.
