with an ovoid body surmounted by a tall tubular neck and flaring rim, all supported on a gently splayed galleried foot, applied overall with a rich and glossy black glaze thinning to a warm brown colour at the rim, the glaze stopping neatly above the foot and revealing the buff stoneware body.
