The vase is of hexafoil lobed section with conforming neck and everted floral rim, standing on a low flaring foot, all under a purplish glaze suffused with reddish and lavender streaks, the interior of the mouth with a light lavender glaze and the base covered in a brown wash, Japanese wood box.
