The vase is finely potted with a globular body rising from a slightly tapered foot to a wide cylindrical neck flaring to an everted rim, covered with an even glaze of sea-green tone thinning to pale celadon at the rim, Japanese wood box.
Provenance: Previously in the collection of Mochiaki Hachisuka (1846-1918), the 14th and final Daimo of the Tokushima Domain, Awa Province. The Hachisuka Family ruled the Tokushima Domain from the early 1600s until the beginning of the 20th century.
