Shaped as a shallow dish divided into six petal lobes, the flat rim chased with a band of foliate meander on a ring-punched ground repeated on the conforming, pedestal foot, the top of the central platform decorated with a scene of a scholar seated beside a wine jar, all highlighted in gilding; together with a parcel-gilt silver cup of similar shape, Southern Song-Yuan dynasty, the center chased with two circling catfish.
