The interior decorated with a medallion of an iron-red flower borne on a leafy stem surrounded by a dense ground of scrolling tendrils, the same motif repeated as a frieze on the exterior above a band of multi-colored ruyi heads.

Note: A pair of dishes of this pattern, and with Yongzheng marks, from the Doris Duke Collection, was sold in these rooms, 21 September 2004, lot 330.
