The deep, rounded sides are covered inside and out with a glaze of milky sky-blue color decorated with four large milky blue and purple splashes that alternate in position on the interior and exterior, all draining from the mushroom-colored rim, those on the interior towards the center, those on the exterior towards the small unglazed foot burnt reddish-brown in the firing, Japanese wood box.
