The slightly compressed globular body rises from a flat circular foot to an incurved mouth. The translucent material is of an ruby red colour, metal spoon.

Note: The present water pot of ruby red tone was a colour first introduced to the Chinese artisans by Killian Stumpf when he set up the Imperial glassworks in 1696. It became a favourite colour at Court throughout the eighteenth century.
