each seat frame of standard miter, mortise and tenon construction, the edge of the frame molded at the top, curving inward to finish on the lower edge with a narrow flat band, the recessed thumb-molded waist over the straight apron, the square section legs (with beaded edge on one couch-bed) terminating in inward facing hoof feet, the removable back and arms constructed with double‑mitered and mortised small members forming the ruyi pattern latticework railings (2).
