the pear-shaped octagonal body rising from a straight foot to a gently flaring rim, flanked by a pair of tubular handles, covered overall in a greyish blue glaze, the glaze draining to a mushroom tone around the rim and handles and stopping neatly above the foot revealing the greyish-brown body, inscribed with a six-character seal mark.
