"Wallace Chan's key focus is innovation - in tools, techniques and materials. To date, his innovations include: the mastery of titanium in jewelry making, the Wallace Cut (an illusionary three-dimensional carving technique), a patented jadeite luminosity - enhancing technology, the invention of elaborate gemstone settings without metal claws, and most recently, a form of porcelain that is five times stronger than steel -- The Wallace Chan Porcelain."
Wallace Chan is a jewelry creator and innovator. His journey with gemstones began over 45 years ago, when he became a carving apprentice at age 16. At 17, he founded his own gemstone carving workshop. Wallace Chan's passions of art, nature, culture, philosophy, technology and change drive his creation of one-of-a-kind pieces that define today's spirit and transcend the boundaries of contemporary jewelry.
