the deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to an everted rim, brightly painted and enamelled around the exterior with a scaly five-clawed green and a red dragon in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl', divided by phoenix in flight and reserved on a dense leafy scroll ground, all below a bajixiang and ruyi band at the rim, the interior with a dragon medallion encircled at the rim by two blue lines, the base with an underglaze blue six-character seal mark.
