The thickly potted bowl is raised on a stem foot carved to imitate bamboo, and is carved in the center of the interior with a lotus blossom below further lotus blossoms and leaves in the well. The vessel is covered allover with a glaze of rich sea-green color that also covers the interior of the foot, stand, Japanese wood box.
