The deep, rounded sides rise to a petal-lobed rim, and are decorated on the exterior with alternating scroll-bordered, petal-shaped panels of scholars and attendants separated by vertical flower stems, and on the interior with further petal-shaped panels alternately decorated with figural scenes and flower stems above a central scene of a scholar and an attendant.
