the globular body rising from a short foot and surmounted by a tall neck, painted delicately around the body and halfway up the neck with scrolling foliage, the long stems terminating in lotus blossoms, the neck with a collar of upright stems above a narrow band of interlocking whorls, the rim with metal mount, apocryphal six-character Jiajing mark in underglaze blue.
